Soon, that is. DH wants to look over the agency a bit more.
We have aquaintances that used http://www.everlastingadoptions.com/ with great success.
We had applied to foster to adopt and they actually ignored us! Never even tried to set up a home visit! :rant
So we let it slide.
This agency looks very doable for us though. Cost is a major issue.
I will update as we move forward. Not sure on a timeline, but we will await the Lords will in this.
We will apply and see what happens.

Good for you. I'm adopted and am very grateful to have grown up in a family who I know wanted me enough to go through that process. Good luck!

I have two sisters who have adopted. One adopted three girls from Haiti (sisters - two at one time, and the other five years later), and two kids from the foster care system. The other adopted a 15 month old girl from Ukraine, a 4 year old girl from Samoa, a 2 day old biracial boy from South Carolina, a 2 year old boy with a seizure disorder from China, and is now waiting travel orders to pick up two children from Ethiopia.

Some amazing and miraculous stories from their lives. It has been hard, but very rewarding for both.

Pinch those pennies till they squeak. You can do it!

Adopting is a great way to procure children :)

Other than the kids need homes, you aren't adding to the overpopulation issue! win-win.

There are a lot of agencies that help raise money for adopting parents. I'll see if I can find out more info for you.

:hugs Yay!!! Don't let the money stop you. Go and get all the information you can. That's what we did and then the money piece worked itself out. When it was there we were ready. It is the MOST rewarding thing I have ever done. The most difficult too, but I wouldn't change a thing!

I agree with not letting the money stop you. Kids are a money PIT and this will just be the first of MANY MANY expenses....

Congrats! I am also an adoptive parent and we are applying again. Long and painful, but worth it in the end. Kind of like pregnancy. ;)
