great work Ab! whoot!

i just poured myself a glass of my favorite cheer
;-)

ha!

i think we all need to give each other a break. everyone thinks that the rest of the world is there to serve THEM... but what if we all took one second to serve/be kind/encourage/love someone ELSE for a change??

telling the overworked checker that she is doing a great job (even if she may not be) and seeing the relieved look on her face always cheers me up

:)

Exacty Abi! And the fairies too!!

Hehe, OFG, you gonna start lovin' up on those 'sissy men' you were talking about?

The simple things make me cheery, primarily animals and nature.. though they aren't always that simple. And I've been through enough crap and depression and abuse to know what it's like to be on the other side, so I always try to treat people the way I want to be treated. There is no room for unkindness and violence on this planet, that is for sure, there has been enough.

I have always been told that I was cheerfull too. At one place they used to call me miss sunshine.

I figure there is enough nastiness out there, I don't need to contribute to it. The world is a much nicer place, when people are nice and kind to each other.
It doesn't take much to smile at someone, play peekaboo with a child in a shopping cart at the checkout, say something nice, be polite, open the door for a mother with bags and a stroller, or a person in a wheelchair, pay a compliment etc

I believe we could all get along, if we got rid of all the war mongering and greedy people,

I too believe that there is a good chance the world will end on 12/12/12 ;) or something like that, but I plan on going down helping others and being nice to them and hopefully have enough homemade wine so I'll go down feeling gooood.....

And if the world doesn't end, I'll have made a whole lot of people just a little bit happier, even if just for one moment and hopefully my next life will be a better one.

I am also a cheer bringer wherever I go....I've found that a lot of folks really like this and a select few really, really, really HATE it.

........so I make sure to pour honey and sunshine all over those select few every chance I get.

The downside to being Miss CharmBlossom is that, when you are having a really bad day and you can't force a smile, everyone knows immediately that "something's wrong" and demands to know what it is.

What things do you do to keep up good cheer?
Many moons ago I was a very bitter and disillusioned person and was the ultimate pessimist. One of my good friends finally told me that it was no fun being around me anymore. So I changed. It wasn't easy. I started forcing a smile and tried to curb my tongue.

Pretty soon I didn't have to force the smiles and it actually did improve my mood and outlook in the end. So....I really go out of my way to be nice to folks on the days I feel the worst. It gets my mind off myself and pretty soon I don't feel so bad after all.

Today I played with a little old woman's hair until she stopped yelling for help repeatedly~this was a twofold kindness. One for her and one for the nursing home staff!

Then I gave a combative and mean man a hug whether he wanted it or not....and got a smile in return. I hope that also makes for a good evening for the staff. :p

Its the little things, really......
