Each title suggest a better way of living a more SS life, each to their own has many things for us to learn.

Because I have read and finished both books, I found one of them more useful.

I found Country Wisdom and Know How to be more straight forward, reading and learning what your looking for. Often when I was reading Country Living, it went off the subject and returned some where in the middle.

Country Living seems to be a more fancy book, where as Country Wisdom addresses the issue at hand without offering a bunch of recipes.

What do you think?

Well, I have to get that book, Country Wisdom! It sounds like something I'd love to have next to my bed.....need more projects!

Country Living was originally a recipe book, that was the book's original intention. She would journal along with the recipes, and each edition grew to include more journalling and more recipes. I love that book (but can't compare yet) because it has recipes and instructions that aren't in my red plaid cookbook! I wish she hadn't removed the raw egg recipes, though, due to pressure and liability. Sheesh.

I sent the copy of Country living to Lori today as a gift, she paid the shipping cost.

I think for people just starting out, Country Wisdom is an awesome users guide on how to. I am sure I have had mine for two years now, I find myself re-reading stuff over and over till it sinks in.

The frustration of the things I didn't know is how I came to find this book, my uncle had made the suggestion. He found that I was ringing him less, asking questions.

Although in my case, I know a little about being SS, some people might get discouraged because they don't know which books or where to gather info on the subject. I started this post so that folks that might stumble over it might get to compare the two books. I was happy to see you posted what you did, I couldn't put it any better than what you stated.

Also Country Wisdom has a neat little crafts section in it for the winter, hence my birdhouse gourds.
