I went to the Post Office today to pick up the mail that they had been holding while I was gone, and there was this cute little box for me...from our dear Sally up in Washington. In it was the most amazing collection of shared seeds, from Sally, I know, and Me and the Gals...and I think more people but I don't know the handwriting so I can't tell.

Anyway, I am seriously, and I mean SERIOUSLY blown away. THANK YOU MORE THAN I CAN EVEN EXPRESS !!!

I was obviously out on errands, but I slapped it in B for boogie and headed home and spent three glorious hours in the garden, my first since returning from MEH-heeco. It had been well watered by rain over the past two days, and parts were a little soggy, but I just had a field day planting the things I knew without looking were okay to plant this month. Mostly tomatoes, and some of the most amazing sorts! Who knew there was a PINK tomato !

I did a botched job posting on my blog about it all, but I wanted all who read there to know what generosity I have been blessed by !

Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!!

Ldychef----Let me know if there is anything else that wasn't included that I may be able to provide-veggies &/or herbs.
About the only thing I don't grow is brussell sprouts, turnips, and rhutabaga. :sick

I do have corn, pole beans (space saver), slice & pickle cukes, winter & summer squash, melons, sweet & hot peppers and lots more. PM me of any you want, but don't have and I'll gladly share!
:thumbsup

Thanks so much ! I am almost done with this year's planting, except for a couple of things which I have waiting. I decided to rip out my back yard lawn and convert it to garden next year. Maybe then...!!!!!

I have eight beds, including 3 raised 5x20, and six more of equivalent size, but not raised. It's going to be so much fun to do this !!!

Thanks again for your kind offer.

Just remember to save the seeds from the best plants when harvesting so you'll have your own seeds to replant the next year.

Except of course those biennials like carrots, cabbage, beets, etc that usually don't produce seed until the second season. Mark those plants so you don't harvest to eat and leave them in the ground over the winter and the next year they will produce a seed stalk. Then harvest those seeds about (?) the same time you harvest the others (current planting) for eating (make sense?)

Although in CA, things may grow & mature on a different schedule.

Happy planting, growing & seed saving! It's quite an adventure.
