I have a top handle Bosch jigsaw. I have been using it heavily on the construction on our new addition. The foot has become very loose and the locking lever does not secure it. If I hold pressure on the foot and move the locking lever it does seem to pull the foot (I assume this is some kind of cam mechanism), but it does not pull far enough to lock it down. Loioking at the bottom of the foot, it looks like it is attached to the saw with a hex head bolt, the head of which rests in a recess on the underside of the foot. I assume that if I could tighten this bolt I could get the locking lever to clmap down, but I can see no what of adjusting it as it seems to be irretrievable "captured" by the foot.
Has anyone had this trouble before with one of these saws and tell me what I can do to remedy it? Or perhaps, it is actually broken and needs factory authorized service.
