We just got back from Barnes & Noble.......bought The Wife a Nook.
Can't wait to download a few books for her. She reads so much, I think she is personally responsible for 90% of the rain forest we have lost!

Anyone else have one? Or a Kindle?

:/ I had contemplated it but I think there is something vastly sick about not being able to hold and touch and feel the pages. I love having books around me at all times. I like being able to write in the margins and post-it note them.

I bet your wife will just love her Nook though.

I HAD to buy her something like this............we are running out of room to store the books she WILL NOT get rid of!

Besides........we are a team.

Tit for Tat.

One for all and all for one.

She is my soul mate..............

Please don't tell her I am lusting for another pistol........ :gig `

I suppose thats how my parents must feel. I have books in storage around here and for a few years a few books go missing every year.

I will never surrender! One book goes missing, I buy another!

yeah, that's my dilemma. i would feel so naked without books all over my house. and the fact that you don't really own ebooks since you can't resell them. i don't resell a lot, but i don't like the idea of NOT being able to if i want to.

i have to say, though, that if i ever go back to working full time (which means traveling full time) i will buy one for the sheer convenience.

I don't resell ever :/ Only on occasion do I notice a book or two missing from the enormous collection currently hanging out in my travel trunk. I've filled my bedside table (which happens to be a bookshelf) with books and theres still probably about 150 books downstairs. I use my horse encylopedias as a nightstand on the otherside of my bed.

I have a problem. Its called books. And to think, my collection will be expanding since I've just received a tentative booklist for school (one of my classes is taught by a writer of literary criticism.......)

:th 40,000 books? Is that right, or did you bump and extra zero in there?
