We just ended our ski season. :hit
On the up side...we did get to hit the slopes 30 times this season! :clap

Spring is upon us and it is time to get our butts in gear! I dropped and cut up one tree yesterday, and moved another today to make more room and more sunlight for the garden!

Next project on the "honey-do" list? GET THE GREENHOUSE FINISHED!!

That's a lot of skiing! You two must have stayed in good shape all winter.
Our snow got so deep that I couldn't XC ski the last month and half and spent time on the treadmill instead. Not as much fun. :tongue
Even when it thawed I couldn't run the trails because the snow was packed down with terrible uneven footing which lasted until a week ago.

What type of tree was it?

We could have gotten in more skiing if it was for a couple of heart tests I had to have done!!
I dropped a smallish(20 ft'r) Silver Maple. It was a "double" that was splitting at the base anyway, so it had to go before it took out either a section of fence, or TWO raised beds, if it would have broken all the way. The one we moved was a 10-12 ft tall Sand Cherry. I (foolishly) planted it about 10ft away from one corner of the garden. Of course the garden has been expanding every year (what was I thinking when I planted it?) so it had to go. Fortunately, I talked one of my customers into taking it, so it didn't go to waste. We still hated to see it go, because we bought it out of the dumpster of the local store, for $.25 cents about 10 years ago. :gig
