We have inherited from my husband's great grandmother a central hall table that is highly detailed and elaborate. It has an octagonal shape and fancy, openly carved legs. For additional decoration it has rouhd-headed nails all around the top underskirt. An intricate pattern of tiny nail holes forms clover-leaf designs into the top. It looks like it's made of walnut. Does anyone know when these were popular? It may be even older than the 1920s, which is the latest it could be.
