Texas State Fair this year featured DF BUTTER!! LOL

Man, that is one of the only things I miss about Texas, State Fair.

I've actually made the roast beef sundaes. It was pretty good, if you don't mind your food touching :lol:

Deep... fried... key lime pie??? Something about that just screams wrong, even more than the twinkies...

Fry anything and I'll eat it! I discovered fried cheese curds 2 years ago at the Big E state fair in Mass. Yum. :drool

There is even "chicken fried bacon"....now that sounds interesting.

About the only one I probably wouldn't try is the Krispie Kreme Chicken sandwich. What I can see of the pic it's like a large piece of crunchy fried chicken breast stuffed into a krispie kreme for a bun. Maybe I'd do either/or, but both together?? The idea of sweet fried chicken just doesn't sound good to me.

I always liked the df mushrooms & veggies with a ranch dip, but they haven't served those in a few years around here and I miss em.
One year we did have the df candy bars. Those were good too
