An article on China shutting down Wal-mart stores for fraudulently labelling regular pork as "organic" and charging higher prices for it. Scary when China is regulating food labelling better than we are.

Anna, I truly hope you don't take this personally, because your post precipitated it, but it's something that I really need to get out.

China is not actually the bad guy that most westerners think it is.

The wife of a dear friend of ours was originally from China and they have gone back to visit her family on numerous occasions. When you read about "lead in kid's toys made in China", it's American companies that run the factories and call the shots, China is the scapegoat. This is straight from my friend's sister in law who quit a very good job working at one of those factories (owned by Fisher Price).

Chinese people love their kids, their home towns, and their jobs just like Americans. They also have the same concerns about their environment. Chinese people are very bothered by what America does to their factories, and in turn to their good name.

I'm personally really tired of reading bad press about China. Or whoever the next scapegoat will be, as I was very tired of reading bad press about Russia when they were the main bad guy.

People are people, they have the same loves, needs, and dreams the world over. Stop blaming other people for what goes on, get educated, and look for truth. It's not all that deep once you get searching.
