Do you have Nourishing Traditions? Lotsa chutney recipes. I'd drop the vinegar and ferment it, sweetening to taste. I'm guessing a half cup honey would still be too much for my taste, but it depends on the tomatoes, I suppose.
G'day and "thank you" Abifae,Jenny made that Chutney "today".Its a KEEPER......She made double,ran out of apple cider vinegar and used 1 cup of Malt....She also thicken it with 2 DST of plain flour mixed in a little vinegar to a paste and cooked it out in the mix.....She bottled it like any other pickles.....She also used some chillies she happen to have ............Do you have any other S.A pickle or chutney recipes or a site we can visit?
