This lady figured out how to make it in her oven. I think I'd give it a try, but only in the winter time, when it's cold enough to have the oven on (even at that low temp) for 8 hours.
Oh! They showed how to make that on Edwardian Farm :)
The elderly lady showed how to layer the cream when it was done, for proper effect :drool
I got an extra gallon from the farm this week, so even though its winter milk, I want to try it anyways.

Also, I would never can milk products, especially raw ones. Very bad for the heart.
And you lose all the good properties.

Memere preserved cream as butter, packed into large crocks and kept in the cool cellar. Skim milk was fed to the pigs. She didn't make cheese for some reason....well, she had 11 kids, so I bet she had no time!

Clotted cream is very good on a lot of foods...

It's kind of like a runny sour cream? LOL.

Pasturized, homogenized dairy (as well as vege oils) are the main culprit in heart disease.
Low temp pasturization is not too bad, but high heat fractures the milk and creates toxicity out of a live food.
