So I posted one of my goats for sale on CL. Just got what looked like a legit buyer query.
I answered it, and within seconds got an email saying it was flagged for removal.

Has anyone else had this happen?

No I haven't had it happen to me but there was someone locally trying to sell a fainting goat and his post kept getting flagged. When I list, the first emails I get are the ones that just ask if your "item" is still for sale. I don't answer those emails.

yes.

folks are mean and the "community" flags stuff for removal - which means anyone can do it.

was it in the farm/garden section?

or if you even remotely look like a business you can get flagged.

it may be some kind of animal rights wacko. wait a day and see if you can repost

sorry - that stinks
:-(

BB, DON'T click on the link in your email!!!! It probably is a phishing email or virus. I had that happen to me once. I replied to an inquiry, and within seconds I got an email saying it was flagged. I clicked on the link and logged into my CL account and it did NOT say my post was flagged. I really quickly logged out and went to www.craigslist.com (so I didn't go via a link) and logged in, then changed my password.

Now I always write in my ad that I won't respond if they ask if I still have "the item". 9 times out of 10 they're scammers.

There was no link. I never clicked on any link.
It was a legit question asking if my goat for $50 was still available!
I replied to it of course!

I mean the email link saying your ad was flagged. I bet you if you log into your account it will not say your ad was flagged.

Ahh! It never occurred to me to check my account through that email.
I always use the direct CL link.

And you know what else I've gotten from CL? I posted an ad for my buck and got 2 calls from "telephone operators" from a third party asking if I would ship "the item".

I get so pissed at losers who scam people (or try to scam people) on CL. Are they really that pathetic???

What direct link? The email I got said something like, "Your ad was flagged for removal. Click below to log in to check your account" or something like that.

The one that is linked to the ad I posted. Not the query links.
