Purchased a delta DC and would like to know the rule of thumb as to when a person needs to run a grounding wire thru the 5" hoses to their respective machines. My run of hose is only 6-7 ft.
Heard some do and some don`t.

trainman, you don't need one for runs that short. I just replaced my old Delta DC with a Cyclone, and the runs on the old one were a little over 25 feet and they weren't grounded. The new one has metal pipe.

Are you a model railroader? I had a 17 by 22 room in the old house with over 300ft. of track. (HO) I'm going to build an 8-1/2 by 16 in this house when I get done with all my other projects.

I got them all off ebay, and most of them are pretty rough. I bought a Tormek sharpener, and my intent is to fix them up and resell them. Here's one I put on ebay yesterday.

By the way, please accept my most sincere Thank You for serving. I was in the Air Force from '66 to '69. I spent 3 years in Germany working on F-4's. I must have been doing something right, they were still flying in Desert Storm!:)
