Like all of wood and fine furniture lovers, we appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into fine dovetailing. The first thing I do when I examine an old piece of furniture is to pull out the drawers and examine the dovetail joints. How much care do you take in making the joints these days? Have you adapted new practices to speed up the process?

I'm guilty, as charged. I can't resist pulling out the drawers and examining the wood, finish, age, patina and quality of the workmanship. I'd love to have the time to put that much time into individual pieces of furniture. The need to produce surpasses the need for quality most of the time.
