UGH

the old---kid running jumps on small stool and fall off with a big thump.

Nicole hurt her shoulder. AC joint separation but not bad.
Thought it was dislocated but not.

Great ER! Nice people...she got a stuffed puppy and princess stickers. To her the visit was well worth it.

Tylenol with Codeine for pain---splint cause her arm sure hurts---ice a few times a day

6 x-rays----3 on bad shoulder----3 on good shoulder for comparison=----apparently little kids since they are still growing, very hard to "see what" might be abnormal.

In and out in 3 hrs. not bad experience and all seems good

BUT Orthopedic Dr. on Wed. They said she needs to see one "just in case"
Which I don't like in a way cause I get that feeling of waste of time, money and everything---but her being so little I don't want any future problems so well worth the cost definitely.

Long night last night---tons of kids, Tony having got off 12 hr shift and off to ER we go. but all is fine!!!

No pre-school for 4 days----help me someone! LOL---Rachel (MIL) coming over for an hr each day so I can get to the barn and check kiddings etc. Just hard to get around right now but no biggie, Nicole should be up and running in a few days of rest and all back to normal.

It is always something, right? :)

Sometimes a fracture doesn't show up on an Xray right away, it often takes a day or two for it to show. That's probably the reason for the ortho visit. Trust me, it is not a waste of time ;)

We have found several fractures on a follow up visit with ortho, so definitely go.

I hope they don't find anything and little Nicole is on the mend!

I hope everything proves to be okay!

My son was cleaning rabbits on Saturday. I told him to be extremely careful--I didn't want to go to emerg.

He was careful, and did a great job, which is good, cuz I don't like ERs. Glad you had a good experience.

I agree, fractures don't always show up. I did a silly thing in November and let a leadrope loop around my hand and my mare bolted taking me with her. I let go but fractured my left ring finger and tore the ligaments. Now that hurt!
