Sure makes me glad that we grind all of our own sausage and hamburger, and do all the rest of our own processing. This is happening WAY to often anymore.

and yeah - my insurance co is going to give me grief if i sell eggs, but they want me to eat meat from the grocery? nada. nope. aint gonna do it.

in fact, makes me want to go and make another batch of undercooked-egg-custard.

I have yet to get sick or even get the poos from anything I have made or eaten that I put up.

Also I don't put eye lids or lips in my sausage, just lion meat/lard and seasonings. I will be canning/making sausage this weekend if my new window doesn't arrive.

All the infected food stories never seem to include "and they got it from a farmer's market" or "was traced to the neighbor's back yard chickens".

Nope.

It is always some huge company that puts out massive amounts of food and poisons some kids before they figure it out.
