It's at the end of Feb and it feels like the end of March. What a crazy winter. Last 4 days have been high 30's and low 40's. Longer day light helps a lot too. So I have been cutting trees down and burning brush to make room for new work areas. Going to take a look at a friends greenhouse this week. Safe to say the energy is back and I'm motivated to get things going but in reality I have about 3 months til real planting. So I need to pace myself. Plenty of projects and plenty of time. Boy I love the smell of spring in the air. O and we have no snow on the ground either. :)

I impulse bought seed packets AGAIN this year without first checking my inventory! I have completely forgotten how miserable my garden was last year, too!

that is the exact weather we've been having lately, which is completely unusual for us. our Feb average temp is 50 and it's barely climbed out of the teens this whole year.

but all that is changing! Friday through Sunday, the highs were in the 50s with NO RAIN. we had rain this morning but then it got up to 60!!!!

now, being Tennessee, where the weather is completely bipolar, we are due another ridiculous cold snap sometime in March, but at least i have hope now!

lol Its still snowing, we're supposed to get rain but nothing yet. We're probably up to maybe 5cm of snow so far, even the truck had some trouble by the barn with the snow on top of the ice. I had to go down and cover the roundbales in tarps and roll one in to Mylie. Its been cold this winter, but we haven't had very much snow at all. We had one bigger dump, but that was it. Last year we had almost 1 snow day a week, this year we've had 1 snow day total.

We've had ice on top of the persistent snow pack for the last two days. Ice caused our entire region to lose power yesterday and again early this morning.

March 14th is daylight savings so I better hurry up and get the spring fever. :p

That's us exactly...one snow day so far this year...and it was actually a freezing rain day. Last year we had alot of snow days. It looks like the snow is catching up to us now though...supposed to get about 20 cm by weeks end the way it's looking. We just bought a four wheeler with a plow...gotta get the dang plow on it though! Hopefully DH will get that done SOON! Today I shovel...:barnie

Can't wait for spring to arrive and bring with it the warmth and the rain to wash away all this white stuff...my favourate colour is green
