Our first frost was several weeks ago, I gave up on the tomatoes about 10 days ago, but this morning we were down into the mid-20s F and my kids kept trying to convince me it'd snowed
The dog, who is young and never seen frost before, took FOREVER to do his 5 a.m. "business" because studying the physical properties of frost and how it melts when you poke it with your nose was ever so much more interesting than daily bowel function
FWIW my cats won't eat tomato foliage -- not even the "hoover" cat -- but they WILL eat tomatoes, even green ones
Still waiting on a freeze here. I hope it's soon - my allergies are still acting up and the flies have been driving me nuts. It was in the 80's all week last week and we had a fly population explosion
I love frosty fall mornings It's one of my favorite times of the year.
Couple days ago I realized we could have snow on the ground in a month
It has been getting down into the 40's here lately, so first frost is just around the corner for us as well.

Thank God for the greenhouse! We should have 'maters and greens on into December if our timing was right!
We have summer and winter. And Arkansas weather is more moody than a woman so sometimes it's hard to tell what season it is! I hope winter is around the corner. I don't think we've gotten frost yet but it did get awful chilly last night.
I finally got rain last night. The whole state is under a burn ban. Its still shorts and short sleeves around these parts. Of course my garden is long gone. Drought and heat got what was left.
