.... make the creton for your father?

My French Canadian friend on another forum, who gave me the recipe I gave you, was asking how it turned out. (I tried to find the original thread for this, but couldn't :()

I guess that's what I get for not following your piggie thread. Had I been I would have known that they aren't ready yet for creton. Not sure what to tell my Canadian friend though; I'm pretty sure that "waiting for the pigs to be processed" would make her feel bad. Lets just say that she is not an SS type

Just tell her that I am a flighty thing and got distracted by other activities and recipes but that you reminded me of my duty to make that recipe!

Ohhhhh, a friend gave me a recipe from the Sunday NY Times magazine section that looks out of this world....I will make it with a pork shoulder if I can get dh to go out and buy one for me (I stay out of the grocery stores as much as possible....in most stores, I stand and gasp at the prices, in the one store we use a lot, I go nuts and buy more than I can cook before it spoils.... ) I will make it and post about it....it sounds amazing... :drool

That is all I will say for now! :plbb

She's going to think that we (you and I) are both a little "lacking", as that is basically what I told her already about why I hadn't made the recipe for chicken pot pie, with sweet potato biscuits, that she thought I might like . In fact, would like, and will like ... but I got distracted . Maybe tomorrow.

I would :D. And here it is: http://www.foodnetwork.ca/recipes/recipe.html?dishid=8415

My only excuse for not yet trying it is that it was really hot here when she first suggested it - salad weather, not pot pie weather. And I put it aside ... and forgot. I have some chicken defrosting so I can give it a go tomorrow.

Let me know if you try it, and like it.
