I wanted to see if someone here had suggestions for a site that gives specs and advice on selection of lift struts.

I am working on an enclosure for 3 trash cans and a storage bay. The lids will be hinged at the back and be roughly 3'x'3 with 2x frames and corrugated, estimated weight 30#.

Thanks

Hi Michael,

How about these at Woodcraft. Sounds like it might be what you're looking for. There's a higher rated set on the site too (rated for 150lbs), but doesn't sound like you'll need that much beef to move.

Let me know if I'm misunderstanding what you're looking for.

Thanks!

You must be going for a much fancier design than the one I built to hold our garbage cans. Ours are huge but they're wheeled so I just needed to disguise them, more than anything. Two enormous garbage receptacles just didn't add much to my landscaping. :D
