Well, I don't know how much Muscovies typically go for, but I'd say that deal weighs in favor of the person getting the sheep. The chicks are worth what, maybe $3 each? Are they straight run young chicks?

He said around $60-80 each for the sheep. I've been selling the chicks for $2 each straight run. :hu The ducks go for around $15 each and sell like crazy. I'll still have a trio of the ducks left. I was actually suprised about the deal myself, was going to offer up my trio of RIR in addition to the other, just to sweeten the deal, but he only wants the ducks and chicks.

Shoot, if that's the pricing you're winning big time!

You're giving him:

5 ducks at $15 a pop = 75.00

13 chicks at $2 a pop = 26.00

Total for you $101.00

He's giving you:

2 lambs at $60 each = 120.00

Even better at $80 = 160.00

I'd say go for it!

Supposed to meet him tomorrow :D I wondered if I should have gotten a ram though? Hmmmm. I could always find one of those though if I want to breed them. But, sheep are rare around here. :hu

Does he have a ram? I know you said he wasn't really interested in the RIR trio but maybe you can pursway him.

I could probably get a ram for those RIR's  He said he had like 15 rams :th I think he better get to eating or something! No idea how many sheep this guy has total, but the rams sounds excessive to me. :hu

Around here people are selling layers for upwards of $15 a piece - some even around $20 each. I'm guessing he gets less for the rams than he does for the ewes since that's how life works....girls are just worth more ;) :p

If he's got an unrelated one around their age I'd take that too! Instant breeding herd!
