Guess the Chicken Breed!

Can anyone guess what breed this chicken is?

White Leghorn? I can't tell what color the egg is on my crappy screen...

Maybe a better picture? I am not very good with white chicken breeds to help you myself. The only white ones I can think of are leghorns and white australorps but I don't know about combs. It doesn't look like my orpingtons or RIRs although they are not white ones but I think those come in white too? I have a white EE but this bird does not resemble it.

There I wasn't much help but gave you a bump. You might try at BYC.

OK, I got out my Meyer catalog - is it a white rock? The comb looks bigger than a rock...

Edit - I'm going with leghorn

I can't see it well enough on my screen. The chicken's back and tail look like they have buff in them, and the egg looks light brown.

I'm pretty much only good with breeds I've owned, and this isn't one of them.

I'd try BYC too, and maybe several more pics? Can't see the hen's body type, but I'm not sure whether that matters.

Thanks for playing along everyone. I know the breed, just wanted to see if anyone else could guess (I realize it's a crappy pic).


She's a cornish X! She was supposed to get the axe way back in August, but she was slightly small. She hatched in early June. I decided to let her stay because I got attached. Glad to see she's earning her keep.

She's doing great! She's the first one out of the coop in the morning and the last to go in at night! She's a trooper, and no leg issues so far!
