Hi,

I am kinda new to hanging ceiling crown molding, and I enjoy to try new things by myself, so i felt that this was an excellent new project. I am not too sure about the corners, can anyone assist me with some simple directions? Also, does anyone have a new modern design template that is available, with a new or different look, and is it better to use real wood or those other molds with the fibers (almost looks like foam withsome sort of fiber glass, not sure what the correct name is.)? Thank you for your help.

I cut crown different than most people, but it works for me. I set the crown on my power miter box with the top pointing up and tipped toward me at the angle of the bottom of the crown. ( does that make sense? ) The advantage of this is that you can cut the miters in the same direction as you are looking at it. It's a lot harder to explain than it actually is to do it. If you have questions, e-mail me at david-carner@hotmail.com and we can exchange phone numbers and hopefully I can explain it better.
