depends if you are guilty :)

but seriously it is all about controlling your body. keeping your heart beating steady, your breathing systematic and regular, and keeping your mind in check, only yes/no

So he's paying for a polygraph??!?!

You know everybody's got one in their family. You can tell alot about people by the assumptions they make about others.......

My personal theory of relativity: the more relatives x importance of event - likelihood of some one acting like a fool.

Is your brother taking a polygraph also?
Have you been ordered by a court to take a polygraph or is this voluntary?

I am sure you will do fine if you have nothing to hide.

I am sure they do a baseline of some sort to give you time to get comfortable!

I took one when I went to work for the local PD.

I was very nervous! They ask a bunch of questions before you're hooked up. Then they hook you up, and ask the same questions. But this time it's yes or no answers.

Like the first line of questions is what is your name, address, blah, blah. then after tehy hook you up, it's "is your name ...." yes or no.
I wasn't allowed to say anything but yes or no.

Oh, and I tried to lie. I'm not a good lier anyway, but I tried. "Have you every smoked marjiauna?" "..... um.... no...?" yep, they caught me.
after I answered, he says "Ok, I'm going to ask you that one again". So busted!! :gig

Db had to take one for theft at his workplace. He made sure he had an attorney. Actually I believe he was instructed to answer yes to each question. Probably different polygraph styles.

Anyhow, long story short- the test revealed that he had been coming in on off hours and weekends for weeks to monitor a project which he was assigned. He got promoted to supervisor with a big fat raise as a result of taking the polygraph. So not all bad, are they?!

They caught and prosecuted the thief.
