Hello! I found this site from a link on the BYC site, and I love it already! 
I live on an acre in a rural area, halfway between Houston and Galveston. I have a small house, a barn that is bigger than the house, and an organic garden that is bigger than both of those, lol! I have three large dogs and six chickens (7 week-old Buff Orpingtons), and my ultimate dream is to carve up my little acre into the most self-sufficient little farm I can manage!
Anyway, just wanted to say hello!

Welcome to the forum, you will learn a lot here. Thanks to SS, I now have an Excalibur dehydrator, Family Grain mill and I love them both! I grew corn last year for cornmeal, that I milled in my grain mill. it's the best! An acre gives you lots of room. Do you have fruit trees?
