I enjoy new challenges and love learning from other's.
My Husband and I moved out of the city and bought a 1970s home that really needed some TLC. Ten years later and we are still at it. One of the project we have on the plate is our pond which is about 1/2 acre. It is being over taken by cattails:eek: and we currently have something digging a hole in the dam:mad:. So when I notice the section on ponds I became excited and look forward to learning all that I can about them. One thing I can share on ponds is don't fertilize grass that grow close or can run off into the pond. My Husband was treating the pond with great frustration and little success as I was fertilizing the grass on the dam Ok he was not very happy when he learned that I was fertilizing the dam. Water, fish and husband are now happy problem solved.

Hey Dawn, great to see you!

1970's.... That's about the same age as the house we're moving into... and it needs a LOT of work, so hearing that 10 years later you're still at it is kinda eye opening.
