I'm thinking about trying to make my own sawmill. Was wondering if anyone here has fabricated one, or perhaps purchased one? What would be a few things you would change? I don't want to use a chainsaw mill. I have an old belt powered saw out back that I think I'm going to use. I can post a picture later today if anyone is interested in seeing it. Thank you in advance, as it is now bedtime for me. Gotta love night shift.

Most of the belt driven saws were used for fire wood. The table and blade were 90 degrees apart and produced wood that would fit in a stove. Boards and planks require a different table or carrage.

Dang, that changes things. Ha hah, oh well. I suppose I better just stick with something store bought then. Thanks for the great information anyways.
