How do you dehydrate kefir grains?

Sending some to a good friend and I'm not quite sure how to do it.

.....the strange wordless thread..... Do I take this to mean that Blackbird is the good friend?

Umm, this is a guess, but could you just spread the grains out on a towel to dry? I will ask my sister, the kefir whiz of my family, and get back to you.
