My wife wants me to build her a hutch so she can display some of her dish collections. I've told her for years that I would do it when I retired. I am semi-retired now, so it's time to start thinking about it. I'm hoping to see some hutches or china cabinets that aren't too formal that others have made. I like oak, but she doesn't want it to look what she calls "countrified." I like maple and white pine, but she keeps leaning toward mahogany. I don't want to be building fine furniture. I need ideas.
