...at least my flock of 6 New Hampshire Red cackleberry producers think so!
They got warm oatmeal for breakfast yesterday morning, topped with a crumbled hard boiled egg. This morning...when I called to them , I thought I was gonna get mugged before I could get the bowl set down! :gig

That makes up the Karma balance in the animal kingdom because my goats think I'm evil.
For years, I have gone through a gate to put their feed in the bunker- I don't latch the gate because I open another gate to let them out to eat then go back through the unlatched gate. I got away with this as the goats all have their faces in the hay.
Until yesterday when one decided to ge a drink BEFORE (!!!!) eating found the gate unlatched and was eating the apple saplings and strawberries. I ran through the gate and grabbed her around the neck (no collar) to start dragging her back out.
This attracted another doe who started through the gate. So I abandoned the first to her tree eating and pushed the second back out, latching the gate.
The back to the first, putting a half-nelson around her neck and dragged her, choking and coughing, out of the blueberries back to the gate. Then stood there while I tried to figure out how to open the gate without losing the doe. Mind you these are 150 lb does.
Eventually I did a series of quick snatches at the latch then kneed the old girl's butt through the opening.
But now they know the paradise I am preventing them from enjoying- I am the serpent in the garden.
Oh well- goats tend to be forgiving or they have a short memory. They will forgive me soon.

Oh enjoy that is too funny, I can so relate to your exploits with the goats---been there -done that-

It is kind of nice to hear that Iam not the only one who has had to wrestle my girls back in to the pasture.

Iam sure they will forgive you soon.

Iam still chuckling just thinking about you. You have been a source of joy today lol
