YOU CAN FIND anything and buy it

Tony's Aunt Donna gave Nicole her DDs old Leap Start reading interactive game. Came with 2 books and cartridges. Nicole lost one cartridge so that book is useless.

Well this game is old but on Amazon I found all the cartridge/books available.....for $6 for one and $8 for another LOL some were $19.99 I passed those by

I mean really, I thought this was useless to even look for the refill books but there they were like it was a brand new game on the market.....I love it! :) She loves this Leap Start.

WA HOO I happy LOL

My Sophia has one of the new Leapster pen reader thingys. I found books and a case at the good will. You just go on line and down load the story to the pen for free. It was a great score.

I can usually find anything and everything for everyone!!! I love it.

you know it is wild thinking you can have "anything" and I mean just about anything just mailed to your house from anywhere in the world.

;) who knows what people are buying out there in the global world and having shipped back to their homes HA HA HA

That's one reason why I think living in the sticks would be doable. Heck the big brown truck goes everywhere.

We got one as a hand me down and I've found a few things to add to it. I'll be passing it on when DS outgrows it.
i have to watch over DH's shoulder when he's on Ebay. The man is scary!!
He's sold stuff too. He sent a 1957 Buick trunk liner to Norway and some other Buick part to Ukraine! Who'd have thought anyone would have a classic Buick in Ukraine???

I love the internet because ...

I can research the primary source documents and learn anything and everything!

Hubby and I both used to spend hours at the library desperately trying to research this thing or that, now it is tap tap tap and we have the information and documents that we need.

Hubby is especially fond of looking up and reading ancient manuscripts and research documents. I tend to read a lot of scientific journals and university studies. Nerds the both of us! :p

One thing about all that research we can do -- does it make us smarter and experts, or does it arm idiots with a bit of knowledge and they think they are experts ?

you are so right FF the time saved in finding any information needed is so fast compared to the "olden days" of a library and the library even if a big one, still was so limited. The internet sure doesn't seem limited! :)

It very well CAN make us those well armed idiots. That is why it is important that you get your information from primary source documents and then cross reference the information well.

There is a big trap on the internet waiting for anyone to fall in that will. People will randomly quote information, stats and figures and NOT cite their sources. I look at that info like someone standing around in the break room blowing smoke.

I believe we are intelligent enough to be able to read a 12 year study (done by a major university or the like) or a government report and then, with study and those cross references, make some sense out of it. Believe me I am not foolish enough to believe everything that the government or a big corp (say Monsanto) has to dish out either on face value.

The information IS out there. What we do with it is up to us. ;)
