I had been using Explorer 8. But since BYC was so slow on IE, and I knew that the changes were coming here. I went and switched the browser to Google Chrome, and I must say it does a dandy good job. Get it before the switch definitely!

No worries Buff! Over on BYC you can also turn off user's avatars, awards and signatures. You can also turn off the "carousel" on the BYC home page. It makes the pages load quicker. It's under your profile, there is a button to "edit account details". Scroll down to forum preferences and check all the boxes except the first one. Much improved performance!

Been using Chrome for a year+ now. much better, in my humble opinion.

I concur that Chrome is much better as an overall web browser. The only time I use IE anymore is for checking for crucial Windows Updates ( I don't allow the machine to auto-update itself, it saves processing memory and keeps me free of 'junk' updates.). Netscape used to be my preferred browser a few years ago, but it's utter junk now.

I've tried Chrome and I didn't like it as a web browser, but I do use it for the apps! I use firefox for my browser instead.
