Beet Kvass sucks!!!! :sick

I bought some beets, and decided to give it a go. EWWWWW!!! Is it really that good for you????? I think the horses are gonna get it all, unless you guys can tell me if I can mix it with stuff.

Here's what I found on google...never heard of it before but it sure doesn't sound like something I'd make :>) I like my beets roasted in the oven

"Add beet kvass to salad dressings, soups, or wherever you would use vinegar or where a slightly sour taste is preferable."

Tanks, what was your recipe. I still have a few, but will not be making more kvass. I did it b/c it is supposed to be super healthy for you. Well, if I make salad dressings out of it, maybe, but if not, the horses will get in on there beet pulp.

Ds came home and tried some, he said he would drink it in small doses. :sick

I just followed the recipe for beets in the NT book. I will check for it.

They had just a bit of tang. I ate them with fresh blue cheese dressing. :drool

It was sea salt, Whey and filtered water. I did not use the cardamom. If I remember correctly I used a mix of my yellow and red beats from the garden. I only made two quarts but they were wonderful.

I also tried the recipe from the NT book, and it was TERRIBLE! It tasted like pure salt water, and my DH wouldn't drink it because he felt it wouldn't be good for his high blood pressure. I can usually make myself eat/drink something if I know it's good for me, but this just tasted like ocean saltwater, so I tossed it.
