Well, I thought I would start a journal since kidding has started for me. I probably won't have much more to say than throwing some pictures up when kids or crias come, but hey, I started one.

Here is my alpaca area in the barn. Right now I have a large open area for them for the winter. When spring comes, I put a panel back in and then have separated stalls. That is the nice thing about using the corral panels to create my stalls.

Here is my goat girls area. The alpacas are on one side of the barn and the goats are on the other side.

Here is my goat boys area. They live under the overhang of our old barn. DH added the shelter area for them so they can keep their stinky selves outside but still be able to get out of all elements.

Here is my kidding area. It is attached to the goat girls area since I'm using all the same panels that were used to create their area. I put tarps over the panels.

Shamise kidded and had twin bucks. While I am disappointed that they are both boys, they are too cute to be too upset. One of them has turned into a bottle baby. I call him a dummy kid since he never figured out how to nurse. I even did all the tricks I use on alpaca crias but nothing worked. First time for my tricks not working but then again we are talking goats here. :D

I'm so glad to see you started a journal too. And I have barn envy!!! :D

Your kids are sooo cute. Shamise is nice-looking herself. I just love the color pattern of the buckskin buckling!!!

I love your idea of corral panels in the barn. If I ever get a "real" barn, I just might have to use that idea myself. Very versatile, I'm thinking! :)

Thanks for sharing!
