Hoof In Mouth
I have a brand new black rival crockpot, does anyone know if the lead in the glaze is limited to red or orange crockpots?
(I've read that Hamilton Beach crockpots don't use lead based paint.)
I also read that if the glaze in the crockpot looks whiteish or flakey and can't be washed off, it's toast.
Here is a link, one of many out there, about this. http://insightfulnana.com/home-garden/housekeeping-home-garden/lead-poisoning-and-crock-pots/html
What are your thoughts?
Sorry this isn't very cheerful for this time of year, but I use mine all the time and I would like to get to the bottom of this.
