Out to pasture
Sometimes in the hubbub of life, we tend to forget to notice the good stuff that happens to us.
I like some of the new positive threads that have been started and realized how excited I got this morning when I discovered a small blessing. I thought it would be fun to remind ourselves of the small blessings that happen our way on a daily basis.
My small blessings so far today:
The sun came out!!!
For years I have been trying to grow rubbarb. I keep killing off the starts I buy with my diligent negligence. Last year I once again found and purchased a start. As broke as I am spending $7 on a potted plant is a lot. I promised myself I would get this plant into the ground asap. But I couldn't decide what would be the best place to plant it. So it sat. I remembered to water it. Then we got goats and I found out that rubbarb is toxic to goats. So I moved the pot to the front yard. And forgot about it. One day I notice dit and it was totally dried out. I plopped it into my little pond. And forgot about it. Last afll I took it out and set it to the side, still having hope, that there is something alive in there somewhere, but seriously doubting it.
Just now I was perusing the front yard for edibles to put in our salad and I noticed the pot. Then I looked closer. There is a teeny, tiny reddishgreen very curly leaf coming up!!!! It's still alive!!! Now I better get it planted
