We have a bathroom, the only one in the house, that is about 5 feet by 6 feet. What can we do remodeling wise to make it look bigger without actually adding space to it?

Bathroom mirror

Using a large mirror on the wall helps any room look larger. Be sure to put it where it won't be dangerous for small children or where you won't be bumping into it. Even a half mirror on the top part of a wall can add a sense of more space. Placing it opposite a window facing outside reflects more of the outside, too.

You can also paint the room a light but bright color. That usually makes a room look bigger too. Don't put too much in the room. Try to keep it pretty open - that will also make it look bigger.

I have a small bathroom too. There already is a large mirror above the sink. I wonder if another one would make it look even bigger. The designers on TV paint thick horizontal lines on the walls to make a room look larger, but that might look weird in a bathroom, but maybe not. That's about the only other thing I can think of.

I go along with the painting a light color and trying to keep it as clutter free as possible. The more stuff you have in a room the smaller it looks.

Furniture style vanities with legs keep a bathroom light and airy. A basket can be put on the bottom for storage. A regular vanity with doors can weigh down a small bathroom. If you are really feeling ambitious and have the funds, a skylight makes a bathroom feel much bigger, too.

If you have a bathtub in there, and it is not used, you could replace it with a stand up shower. Doing that will free up a little room. What is your vanity size in there? If it is too large, and there is a lot of wasted space, you could consider downsizing the vanity too.

The vanity is not very big at all and we have a storage problem in the bathroom because of this. We already have a large mirror on the wall and it doesn't help very much. Since it is a bathroom there is no window to the outside. Darla, I definitely use the tub so it isn't going anywhere.

You should consult a remodeling expert that can help to remodel your bathroom in an effective way and can give a spacious and bigger look to your bathroom

I have a small bathroom in home and to make it looking as bigger I have used the large mirror in each wall, which really helped me out to making my bathroom bigger look wise and gave a attractive look too.
