We are trying to increase the number of manual appliances that we have and are looking at pasta makers. I know that the food savvy members here should have some recommendations. The Atlas/Imperia/Roma type have caught our attention, but at least from the photos that I've seen, they don't appear very sturdy.

We don't mind spending a little more IF the quality is there. So... what do you use and would you recommend it? Thanks!

I have a Pasta Queen that I got...hmmm.....maybe 25 years ago? It works great. It clamps to a table and you only need to brush it clean with a paint brush or something similar. Here is one on ebay: http://compare.ebay.com/like/170621...f72b3d6&itemid=170621133569&ff4=263602_309572

I recently pulled it out and discovered that it will not clamp to my new countertop. I had to get out my other manual pasta maker, my rolling pin and pizza wheel! :p

Thanks Free. We'll be picking one up and trying it out. Good prices too. Thanks again!

I have an Atlas that I've had for 20 ... or 25? ... years, and am very happy with it.

My mother gave me a little 6" pasta machine, 'Cooks Tools' probably 30 years ago. Still works great.

Some of the older stuff is heavier than the newer stuff...
