I know that many of you consider chocolate to be one of the basic food groups . I certainly enjoy a bit of dark chocolate on occasion, but I can't say that I ever really crave it - if its there I'll have some, if not, then not; it is seldom that I go searching for it. And I'm picky; it has to be good, rich, dark chocolate, anything less and I'm not interested, despite stereotypes  But this recipe almost tempts me to run into the kitchen right now and whip up a batch - I think I might wait until tomorrow, but not longer.

I can't make it today :hit - well, at least not this morning. I've found a major hole in my food storage - no fresh, organic oranges (or any other kind, for that matter :barnie). I think DH needs to go into town to the pharmacy; I'll ask him to get me an orange :p.

You don't even crave TJs truffle chocolate bars?! *jaw drop*
Don't know about those. I do get TJ's dark chocolate bars, but I keep them as cooking chocolate.

Well, I finally got my organic orange, and mixed this up last night. I admit to using 72% cocoa chocolate rather than 85%, as that is what I had, and it was still very nice. I did not roll it up in parchment, as the recipe recommends - it was too liquid. Instead I spread it out on parchment, and today I smeared coconut oil on my hands (to prevent sticking) and rolled bits into slightly less than walnut sized balls, and rolled them in cocoa. The chipotle pepper leaves a (to my taste) very slight aftertaste, though neither I nor DH tasted it in the initial taste. I will most likely use a bit more next time. We both liked it :)
