was a bust lol

Tony did great surf fishing, a few good sized sharks, whiting and sadly no flounder...the guy next to him caught 2 nice flounder....I wish that was him...lol...flounder I love

but my metal detecting was ---drum roll---5 whole cents
yup a nickel and a bunch of trash (which I did deposit in the garbage cans cause it felt more like a beach clean up than a treasure hunt lol)

but we had a blast

I think I am going to search and find a metal detecting club near me....I know I must be doing something wrong cause I don't find much treasure--maybe with some professional help I can reel in this bad boy detector and make it pay---cause at a few cents per trip it will take a lifetime to pay just for the batteries to go in it haha

who else had a great weekend?

I got myself a kids' metal detector a few years ago. Haven't found anything worth money yet, but I have had some fun with it in the back yard. I mostly find old rusty nails and crushed cans and old soda pop tops. I did find and old key plate once, that was cool.

I wish I had the patience for such a thing. I just KNOW there are goodies out in the yard back home.

I think K0XXX is the professional with that around here! I think he has had photos of his goodies on here before. Good goobly!

one thing I do love alot the detecting is I walk a million miles in the beach sand and yes my legs got a great workout, along with swinging that dectetor lol

plus alot for the great exercise and cleaning up trash on the beach, minus a big fat one for no treasure

thanks Ohio, if ya are ever my way I will take ya out to lunch on that nickel LOL

I have a metal detector. I should give it a go our next time out to the desert. Knowing my luck I will only find nails.

Maybe next time Karen. Keep trying!!!
