Never having mono, that I know of, I am in the need for knowledge.
DD #1 is going in for a blood test for Mono tomorrow. She has had a nasty sore throat, headache, swollen glands, and now a rash. Called Dr. who wants a blood test since her strep test came back negative.

I am getting the artillery ready.
Vitamin C
Echinacea
Fluids

Have them check for thrush LOL.

I had those symptoms for a DECADE and they just kept saying "it's not strep" and never realized it was thrush. :he

in addition to your list I recommend fresh garlic and raw honey (not together) :gig Honey will work wonders on her throat just give her a spoonful a few times a day... Then give her chicken broth with loads of garlic in it to drink... If you make your own broth with bones and such it works awesome on all the buggies kiddos pick up as well!!! :hugs I hope DD is ok.

I did that today. Made mean rooster soup. Tons of garlic and onion. Honey is the only thing that makes her gag. But definitely "putting the garlic to her", as they would say here in Maine.

Also got out the rosehip puree from the deep freeze. I'll be making tea with that.

I aint got a clue, my sister went thru it all last summer. I do know gargling salt water will help the sore throat and a sucking on peppermint candies does too.

Had mono years ago, all the things you are doing or thinking of doing are great, but nothing cures mono, but will help with the symptoms. Mono just has to run its course,it does take awhile to get over, a person can still feel run down for up to a year.

Just keep her as on a healthy track with all the stuff you are doing, I wish re a speedy recovery.
