I had an explorer, I loved it. My sis had one and she called it the exploder--it was always in the shop. Hopefully yours will be the one that is good :)

it shouldnt be inside the shop cause i only drive like 20 miles a week

i love that it holds 5 people and i also got a bed like a truck (even though its smaller than most truck beds) cause i had looked at a ford ranger with the flip down seat and that would just not work with kids

We had one back in the 90s, big ole' brute. When I was a kid I called it the ksplore

That was our last truck (and it was a beast! they don't make em' like that anymore lol that thing even had a winch) until 2008 when we got our F-150.

hehe we call the explorers with the truck bed the "gentlemans truck", like a gentleman farmer :)

now i'm totally missing my big truck *tear* there are whispers that the truck could be a write off. the appraiser has been out 3 times to look at it.

I would check with a "real" mechanic but 20 years ago I kept having exhaust pipes rusting all the time, they said it was from making 1 mile trips and the condensation never evaporated and sat in the pipes and rust through.

I actually had to take a longer route to work to stop the problem from happening again, 5 miles a week just wasn't long enough for the truck to warm up.

My dad always told me that too... My car never breaks down (my commute is 100 miles daily)... my brother drives his car 5 miles a day and it's constantly in the shop for everything.

Maybe Elijahboy'll need to take a longer drive once a week? :)

I'd love a truck... but I want a giant, old half ton... preferably from the 70's or 80's :)

We are looking for a project truck like that for my son and hubby to work on. But for now, my F-250 diesel will have to do, and it does :)
