Has anyone else read the new Mother Earth News? Particularly the article Life On The Homestead. It was a great article, very inspiration.

OK...I drive a nice Town and Country minivan...and it has hauled hay, trees, chickens, geese, bunnies, LLAMAS AND MINIATURE HORSES....

When I needed to take my favorite mini horse to the vet ( in his "mini" van) I pulled out the rear seats, put a tarp on the floor with a big absorbant rug on top. We built a portable ramp to load Canello in the side door. He rode face forward with his muzzle on my shoulder! It was so much fun- until I heard the sound of TINKLING!!! :ep
You just don't know what fear is until you hear that sound as you are barrelling down the Interstate at 65 miles an hour!

We actually drove through a drive thru window to pick up a Coke when Canello stuck his face up by mine to look at the cashier, who just about had a heart attack on the spot....it was hilarious...

My husband used to take a mounted deer head with him to fast food drive thrus with his brother or friends driving. He would lay down in the back of the truck bed with the deer head and when they would go to the pay window he would stick up the deer head as close to the window as they could. It would totally freak them out!
