New Table Saw - Built A Crosscut Sled

A few months ago I sold my dad's huge metal Delta table saw for $500, then went to Home Depot and got a tiny portable table saw for $200 (with rack and wheels)!

I've been looking at a bunch of fun projects and one that caught my eye was a "crosscut sled".

I didn't really want to build a big one, but then stumbled on this one:


It was the perfect first project for my new table saw!

Well, it isn't as pretty as the one in the video, but it works GREAT!!

I even did a test of using it for making "dado" cuts and this monstrosity was the result:

It's AMAZING how much easier it is to use this than the little "Table Saw Miter Gauge" that came with my saw.

I can get much better precision and have much greater control. It also feels SO much safer than the flimsy miter gauge.

Now... I'm wondering if I should just sell my miter saw? :D
