New Visitor to Front Garden Birdbath

This morning I was surprised to see this hawk at the birdbath.

She, I think it's a she, let me come very close to her( about 6 to 8 feet) and get her photo I took about 30 photos! Some with the flash, and she just looked at me, no fear.

I think she is pretty. I won't be letting my chickens free range anytime soon.

I wouldn't let my chickens freerange for a while either with that one hanging out on your birdbath :lol:

Fantastic picture! I've seen a few of those around, one flew low into our back yard (chickens were out and about) I ran out throwing my shoes at the dern thing... it didn't come back.

They are beautiful. I kind of like having them around...kind of! LOL

Not so thrilled a big one decapitated two of my ducks last year, but I do like the smaller peragrin falcons that moved in next door.
