I have two poults, and one is very, very weak. It is half the size of the other one. It is however better than it was yesterday. What can I do to help it get back on track?

You can feed her eggs along with he feed and get her some vitamins from TSC or Fleet Farm or whatever feed store you have in your area. Also watch how much she eats and watch her poop. Poop can tell you if something else might be wrong with her. Good Luck!

Aww! I'm sorry BB. It's always sad to lose a poult (I think even more than any other type of poultry). The only "nice" thing about it is that the solo poult will be your little buddy for sure. I had two before, with one dying, and the surviving poult was like a little dog... Even went to visit the neighbors and they all loved it.

I have already decided it's permanent. Tom or hen, it will be my pet turkey. I have a pet chicken, something I never thought would happen. But when you incubate for the first time, and kill her 10 brothers and sisters by accident. She is sort of special :D

Lol. I have two poults that were supposed to be the meat birds, and it just so happens that the three I was supposed to keep are my least favorite, and I fell in love with the one little "meat" bird. I KNEW to be careful with them, because the last poult ended up being pet instead of food, and even with precautions, I still managed to get a pet out of these guys, lol. I think the best way to raise poults for meat is to get ALL that look identical, and get a good number of them. More chances of having meat on the table instead of another mouth to feed, lol.

Yeah, there's really not much you can do. I force fed and watered mine, spent hours taking care of the little guy and it still died. I basically just prolonged the poor thing's death.

Yeah that is what I did. But oh well, ya win some, ya lose some. Any tips on brooding them? I have 8 coming in the mail Wednesday with two chicks to keep them company.
