Off with your head, rooster!!

Rooster tried to mount my bantee brahma and MFH (no bigger then a large pidgeon) but they now just chase him around. He mounts my regular hens, but they can handle it because they are big.

So this morning he grabbed my MFH (Bam-Bam) by the neck, lifted her up and shook her. NOT OK. He's literally 3x+ the size of her!! My brother went and broke it up. My mom ran on to the computer and FB chatted our vet, she said were going to try a shot (starts with L?) and see if that works. So its more "off with your testicles"

One more chance roo, then its christmas dinner for you!!

(Btw, you can send condolences to Bam Bams facebook, I'm sure she's posting about it lol.)

Are you sure? I had someone ask me today if you could eat rooster, and what did they taste like.

I had some really yummy slow roasted rooster this summer. I think he was about a year old too. We let the meat rest for a few days in the fridge first.

we are just about done with processing our meats and we already have a few other 'volunteers'... he'll be joining the noodles very shortly.

So, we took him in to get a shot but ny vet got on the phone with a nice lady...so Carry the Rooster is going to a new home tomorrow!! Its in Santa Ynez valley (really ritzy!) and he will live next to Bo Derrick I'm so glad he won't be christmas dinner!!

And you know what this means right? With Roo gone I get a cochin next Spring
