Just made a batch of Gluten free cream of mushroom soup and doubled it thinking I would need it all but only needed half.
Can you can cream of mush soup?

it has:
unsalted butter, mushrooms, onions, salt, sweet rice flour, and milk

total was about 4 cups I used 2 cups and wonder if it can be safely canned????

I found a 18 lb. sulfur shelf mushroom (chicken mushroom) a couple of years ago and DW made cream soup out of part of it and we canned it and it worked out fine. If I remember right there was guidelines in the ball blu book on how to can cream of mushroom soup.

There is a recipe around here somewhere for canning mushroom soup. BUT I do believe it does not use dairy until you open the jar to use.

Check around.
