:hit .... I'm such a failure when it comes to this .... :hit

I think I'm doing really well, not eating carbs (bread, sugar, rice, etc.), I'm snacking on cheese, peanut butter (natural) eating between 6-10 servings of veggies a day, lots of eggs, only use coconut oil or left over bacon greese, and scale just goes up and up and up and up. :hit

I'm trying to embrace the "fat and happy" logic

Awww, Okiegirl....from your avatar pic, you sure dont look fat to me! Besides....its NOT FAT, its FLUFFY! :lol: And did you know, when you eat carbs....pasta, breads, ... you have MORE energy?? MOST athelets will "carb up" before a meet...or game. Maybe you NEED energy?? Go have a bowl of pasta...with some chopped cooked tomatos...you will feel better. ;)

What kinds of veggies are you eating and can you up your intake?

What types of protein are you eating?

How many eggs?

How much cheese and peanut butter?

How are ou doing with your water?

Perhaps you just need a little tweaking here and there! Don't give up Girl!

Good healthy fats and lots of healthy carbs (veggies) give you energy.

Refined carbs put you on a blood sugar roller coaster and leaves you crashed, needing more refined carbs ....just like eating a candy bar. Short term pick me up that will leave you feeling like crap in a couple hours!

Okie, I know you are under a lot of stress/pressure too. Stress does a whopper on the body. Usually I gain when I'm stressed out...for no other reason than I'm stressed. :hugs

This month I've been eating more veggies than normal. For no other reason than I'm cleaning out my freezer which happens to be full of frozen veggies. I have already noticed a big difference in the last two weeks or so. When I feel hungry I just steam up a pot of veggies, add butter and sea salt. Yeaterday for lunch I had about 6 servings (3 cups) of green beans and brussel sprouts.

How is that beautiful daughter doing? :)

She's doing well with the exception she came home from school yesterday sick and has been all night and today.

I got my South Beach Diet book in the mail today, so I'll look over that and maybe gleen some info from it that may change the tide.

I've always carried 50+ pounds that I shouldn't but lost 54 and was so proud of myself. Over three years all but 15 have come back. I'm hoping some of the weight is due to pure boredem.
I eat when I'm bored.

I was eating those frozen bags of mixed veggies, like stir fry veggies. I really like 'em steamed with butter and some parm cheese, but it wasn't doing me any favors, so I'll not eat that for a bit.
